    About Us

Founded in 1936 in Brooklyn, New York, primarily by Norwegian immigrants, the Telemark Ski Club is a private/member run ski club for families of all ages who enjoy all types of snow sports.

Located just outside of Rutland, Vermont, our lodge is a short drive to the prestigious Killington and Pico resorts and centrally located to Vermont's other major ski areas and is available for year round use by members and their guests. And though skiing and alpine sports are central to our constitution, our
members participate in many other activities.

Summers are extremely popular with vacationers. Golf, hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, and horseback riding are all within a few miles of the lodge.

Most of the large ski areas operate their lifts throughout the summer so people may ride to the summit and enjoy the wonderful views.

Vermont's fall foliage with its beautiful colors is well-known throughout the country. Many covered bridges and exhibitions by Vermont marble  companies are in our local area.

Antiquing and the opportunity to attend numerous local outdoor auctions (an old Vermont tradition) are additional things to do.

Though the club bears the name "Telemark" (a county in Norway), we are not purely a Telemark-style skiing group.
